Each bungalow is shared with a maximum of one other adventurer (except by request) with care to make your stay as safe and fun as possible.
Experience the jungle in its full glory in specially designed immersion bungalows complete with mesh screen windows that allow you to hear the beautiful symphony of nature and feel the lovely jungle air.
For groups of friends who are traveling together, you can request a private bungalow for your group, and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Become Immersed In Nature!
You will be staying in the cloud forests of the upper Amazon rainforest. Many incredible creatures call this place home and if you are lucky, you may spot some of our rarer friends such as sloths, glorious toucans, and big fluffy Red Titi monkeys which sing in the mornings.
Other jungle creatures appear almost daily such as big troupes of Black Mantled Tamarins, an incredibly cute monkey that would fit in the palm of your hand (look, don’t touch please!) and Blue Morpho Butterflies, a threatened species which breeds on the property.
But I Have So Many Questions!
How do I get there?
Getting to RPG In The Jungle is easy! All you need to do is get a flight to Lima (Jorge Chávez International Airport) then a quick 1hr15min connecting flight to Tarapoto (Guillermo del Castillo Paredes Airport). From there we will whisk you away to our jungle paradise. If you want to spend some time in Tarapoto first, we can recommend great hotels and we can pick you up directly from your accommodation.
Is it safe to travel to Peru?
Our location is in one of the safest places in all of South America. Foreigners can walk around the city center of Tarapoto at night with no problem and none of the gringos who live here have ever had any trouble of any kind with safety or crime (unless you count a taxi driver overcharging for a ride!). Additionally, our property is in a secluded valley away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Do I need vaccinations to travel to the retreat?
There are no mandatory vaccines for travel to Peru. The residents here have no special vaccinations and have had no problem. If you are particularly cautious you may get a yellow fever vaccine although this is more of a problem in other regions of South America.
What kinds of animals are around the jungle?
The jungle is overflowing with life, from ultra-cute monkeys to sloths, toucans, Blue Morpho butterflies and the most stunning creatures David Attenborough would be excited to find! There are no big animals like jaguars in our part of the jungle.
But are any of the jungle animals dangerous?
There are no major dangers from the local animals here. Like anywhere, you only need to exercise a little caution. Although some snakes and spiders do live in the jungle, nobody who lives here has been bitten in the entire 12 years we have lived here. Our buildings are western and designed to keep you safe and comfortable.
Do I need to speak Spanish to come to the retreat?
Not at all! Although Spanish will help if you plan to tour the country before or after your retreat, it is not necessary for your visit with us. We will pick you up from your flight and whisk you away to our secluded paradise where everything will be in English (unless you want to practice your Spanish of course!).
What about the insects?
One of the benefits of our location is that we are in the cloud forest of the high jungle. This means we are above the mosquitoes and other bugs of the Amazon Basin. We actually have far less biting insects than you may be used to in Canada or other parts of the world. Additionally, we have bug repellent and anti-itch cream for those who are particularly sensitive to bugs.
What if I have a medical situation while I'm there?
We have a Canadian trained nurse living on site for any emergencies and modern hospitals within one hour in Tarapoto. Weather is no impediment to getting you to town in an emergency.
How active do I need to be for this adventure?
You will need to be moderately active to participate in RPG In The Jungle. Getting from the accommodations to the social spaces or to Citadel Fury for game sessions requires walking up and down stairs. All walking paths are paved for safe movement and hand rails are provided wherever appropriate.
Part of the fun and uniqueness of RPG In The Jungle is the adventurous nature of the event. You will be going on real-life, in character quests in the jungle that have in-game consequences!
What is accessibility like?
Unfortunately, due to the terrain RPG In The Jungle is not wheelchair accessible at this time.
